Werowocomoco: Seat of Power - Special Exhibition (9:00 AM)
Jamestown Settlement
Werowocomoco was the principal residence of Powhatan, the paramount chief of 30-some Indian tribes in Virginias coastal region at the time English colonists arrived in 1607. Recent archaeological excavations have revealed not only that the York River site was a uniquely important place during Powhatans time, but also that its role as a political and social center predated the Powhatan chiefdom. Junior Golf Program (3:30 PM)
Golden Horseshoe Green Course
MONDAYS. The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club will conduct its popular junior golf clinic this summer beginning Monday, June 21 at the Green Course. Open to girls and boys ages 6-16, the program is presented seven Monday afternoons: June 21 and 28, July 5, 12, 19 and 26 and Aug. 2. Youth ages 6-10 meet from 3:30-4:30 pm, and ages 11-16 meet from 5 - 6 pm. During the one-hour sessions, head PGA golf professional Jeff Winters and associate PGA professional Greg Lynch provide instruction on rules and etiquette of golf, fundamentals of the golf swing, use of short and long irons and woods and short game topics of pitching, chipping and putting. This benefit event will invoke laughter and heart-touching moments and support the work of an organization that believes every child deserves to live in a safe and permanent home. All proceeds will support Colonial CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). CASA is the eyes and ears of the court, and you, the members of the community are the hands and heart. Together we can provide a voice for abused and neglected children. "To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope, and to give them hope is to give them the world."

The Feast Day of St. John the Evangelist is an annual day of celebration for the local Masonic Lodge. Costumed interpreters and members of Williamsburg Lodge No. 6 will reenact the annual procession on this date from the Masonic Lodge to Bruton Parish Church to hear a sermon for the occasion and then return to the lodge.
