in an atmosphere of elegance and the wonderful feeling
of warmth and hospitality. Freely use our Tavern Reading
Room and test your skill at checkers, or curl up with a
book in the 1827 armchair. In our Common Keeping Room
you can watch cable television enclosed in an armoire or
relax with good conversation. Enjoy eyeing the
Helen-Marie Gallery of Antiques and Collectibles. Our
lovely rooms are described in our website… romantic two
rooms Suites, or our equally lovely Chamber rooms.
Bathrooms have been completely remodeled with “Jetted
Shower” which allows spray nozzles to blanket you with a
cone shaped spray to provide a more soothing and
relaxing shower experience. For a treat, our Carriage
House Fitness Center with Sonia is always available, as
is our Billiard Parlor and Screening Room with 60” TV,
even a real Las Vegas slot machine! We have on-site
parking.
Our Williamsburg Morning Breakfast at the Rooster’s Den
with fireplace and pewter collection, and featuring the
famous “Skip Lunch®” breakfast is a real treat. So good
it even impressed the Executive Chef from New York’s
Waldolf-Astoria.

When officially proclaimed by Virginia’s Governor as
“Inn of the Year in the Commonwealth of Virginia," the
Governor stated “I call its significance to the
attention of all our citizens." The Inn was also the
1995 Inn of the Year of the US and Canada. AAA’s
HostMark magazine honored us as the only Virginia Bed
and Breakfast to be featured in their magazine. On our
front porch we sang with guests, City officials, College
of William & Mary and Colonial Williamsburg
representatives “Oh, What A Beautiful Morning” for CBS’s
Good Morning America. In addition to our 3 Diamond
Award, we have received Mobil’s 3-Stars and Top 50 List
by the American Historic Inns. This is our Signature of
quality.
Our home is unique that it meets all the State and City
codes for safety including fire alarms and sprinklers
systems (tastefully placed for guest’s safety), and a
smoke-free home environment.
